When I started Bin Yousef in 1978, it was with a singular focus in mind: to assess gaps in the local market and to create companies that would fill those gaps and provide solutions for local communities and the people of Qatar.
I devoted my professional career to my country as the Group CEO of Qatar Airways for 27 years. However, although I could not dedicate my time to other efforts, I always made sure to be constantly investing with good people to ensure that these solutions continued to be made available to my country.
The complexities of International Freight Forwarding and the potential risks it has created for the local market far out-stretch the responsibilities of an Airline or Shipping Liner, and the need for end-to-end logistics experts is as relevant now as it was back in 1985.
Bin Yousef Cargo has assisted Qatar’s development and growth in bridging the logistics gap where shipping liners and air freight companies could not. From origin handling to customs clearance and on-site delivery, the expert team at Bin Yousef Cargo has helped ensure that some of our country’s most iconic mega projects have been delivered on budget and ahead of schedule. This support was no more evident than in our ongoing partnership with private and government agencies through the delivery of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
